New Rector for the Benefice of Stonesfield with Combe Longa:
Rev. Ralph Williamson
We are delighted to announce the appointment of the Rev. Ralph Williamson as the next Rector of the Benefice of Stonesfield and Combe.
Ralph will move to Stonesfield and Combe in May 2021 and will be licensed on Saturday 1st May (time to be confirmed).
Ralph writes:
“I am very much looking forward to sharing the life of the church and community in Stonesfield and Combe as Rector.
“I have been ordained for thirty years, having trained at Ripon College Cuddesdon, and have worked in a variety of settings.
“I served as a curate in suburban North London, a team vicar in rural Herefordshire, as college chaplain at Christ Church, Oxford, and most recently as vicar of a busy city church in Westminster.
“The focus of my ministry has always been pastoral care, and a desire to help each person to live abundantly.
“My wife Rachel is an artist and worked as an art teacher for many years, and we have two daughters who live and work in London. We have family and good friends in Oxfordshire, and a deep love for the area and its lively communities.
“I first studied Social Anthropology and we support Saakshar, an educational charity in Delhi. Ten years ago I also trained at Oxford University as a psychodynamic counsellor. Apart from enjoying the company of family and friends I enjoy motorcycling, photography and bird watching.
“I am very hopeful that 2021 will be a happy and creative year for all of us.”
